Lily & Brick wedding film

Their celebration

At home.
Completely themselves.

Lily and Brick’s wedding unfolded in a family backyard, with lush grass, beautiful weather, and the easy warmth of a garden party. Everything happened in that one familiar place, giving the day a closeness we loved being part of.

Color and personality ran through every detail. Bright dresses, colorful ties, flower crowns, and a setting full of character made the celebration feel unmistakably theirs. There was a playful, nostalgic quality to it—a little like a summer memory from the nineties.

Their energy was contagious. They wanted to try creative shots, share ideas, and collaborate with us throughout the day. The relaxed schedule gave us time to get to know them, experiment together, and catch the candid moments happening around us.

That sense of ease carried through the whole celebration. Family touches and things they had made themselves gave the wedding a personal feeling, with room for everyone to settle in and enjoy being together.

Color, right down to the flower crowns.

The wedding party brought so much life to the garden. Bright colors ran through the bridesmaids’ dresses and the groomsmen’s ties, while flower crowns took the place of bridesmaid bouquets.

Those choices suited the atmosphere beautifully. Together with the colorful ribbons and flowers around the yard, they gave us a setting full of character to work with.

Bare feet and a cake made together.

The bridesmaids spent the day barefoot, a detail that made perfect sense on the lush backyard lawn. With the celebration staying in one place, there was an easy freedom to the way everyone moved through it.

Lily and Brick also made their wedding cake together. They wanted the experience of creating it themselves and then cutting that same cake on their wedding day. It was one more part of the celebration that held a memory of its own.

Room to play.

Lily and Brick were enthusiastic creative partners. They came with ideas, were happy to experiment, and brought the kind of energy that made trying something new feel easy.

Having time mattered. We could let a shot develop, get to know the people around them, and pay attention to the candid moments in between. The relaxed pace helped their personalities come through in the film.

A familiar place, a nostalgic feeling.

There was something wonderfully familiar about the whole day. A family home, a garden full of their favorite people, and details with their own character gave the celebration a warm, almost nineties feel.

We loved how naturally that atmosphere carried into the images. The color, the playful portraits, and the affection between everyone made the wedding feel lively and deeply personal.

A film people came back to.

This became the most popular wedding film we had shared on social media. We think people connected with the same things that drew us to the day: its color, its personality, and how completely comfortable Lily and Brick seemed being themselves.

Their willingness to collaborate gave us so much to work with. The film holds onto the fun of the celebration and the feeling of spending a day with people who are genuinely excited to be together.

Adventure partners, from here.

During the ceremony, their officiant spoke about the adventures Lily and Brick loved sharing and the life they were beginning together. Becoming adventure partners in marriage was part of what made the day meaningful to them.

Their send-off brought that idea to life: the two of them rode horses into the sunset. It was a fitting way to begin the next adventure together.
